Otere Black returns as the standout choice in the no. 10 jersey and this year will be backed up by debutant Sam Malcolm. Former Wanganui High School first five Sam Malcolm will be looking to learn as much as possible from the accomplished Otere Black as he aims to sharpen his arsenal and climb to higher honours;
"It is great to in this environment with the lads, the coaching team as we ll as the players demand very high standards," Malcolm outlined, "I have already taking in a great deal, especially from Otere who has got quite a lot of experience at the next level, just real excited to be invovled and looking ahead to the season."
Head coach Jason O'Halloran spoke briefly of last seasons triumph in the championship and the focus as the group moves forward into the premiership for 2015;
"We are aiming to stick to our values and do the work necessary to allow us to take one game at a time, ultimately we have to lift as we always want to improve but we must remain focussed on what is in front of us each week."
