One of provincial rugby’s most explosive finishers has locked in his future with the Manawatū Turbos.
Winger Tima Fainga’anuku has signed a two-year deal with Manawatū.
The 24-year-old will join Kia Toa when he arrives to the region having spent the early part of this season with family in Auckland.
A powerful finisher, Fainga’anuku comes with a glittering record in domestic competitions.
He has already played 42 games for Tasman scoring 10 tries.
He is the older brother of Crusaders wing Leicester Fainga’anuku.
Tima Fainga’anuku played for the New Zealand Under 20s in 2017 and then New Zealand Sevens in 2018.
Tima’s Super Rugby career started with a call-up to the Crusaders in 2018
In 2019 he spent a season in Perpignan in France before returning to Tasman when he was picked up by the Highlanders for the 2020 Super Rugby Aotearoa.
In the Turbos he joins fellow contracted outside backs Drew Wild and Taniela Filimone in the squad so far.
