One of Manawatū’s brightest young talents has recommitted to the province for two more seasons.
Blindside flanker TeKamaka Howden has re-signed for the team
Howden is attracting serious Super Rugby attention having been one of the side’s standout performers this year.
The 20-year-old is in his second season out of Feilding High School and was part of the McDonalds Manawatu Hankins Shield winners Feilding Yellows campaign.
Comfortable at lock, but more at home on the blindside flank, Howden has made himself at home in the No 6 jersey for Manawatū.
Earlier this year he played for the New Zealand Under 20s.
Howden joins a group of 17 players already under contract for 2022 – Harrison Allan, Joseph Gavigan, Shamus Hurley-Langton, Brayden Iose, Tyler Labscher, Siua Maile, Veikoso Poloniati, Aaron Smith, Ben Strang, Falesau Tauailoto, Ofa Tauatevalu, Micaiah Torrance-Read, Taniela Filimone, Ropate Rinakama, Ed Fidow, Tima Fainga’anuku, TK Howden.
We will have another major re-signing to announce next week.
