Manawatu Turbos Aaron Cruden All Blacks

Aaron Cruden has been named in the playing 23 to face Otago tomorrow, his first appearance in the Green and White since 2014.

Following his return from an injury and that ruled him out of the All Blacks Rugby Championship Triumph Manawatu born and bred first five Aaron Cruden will make his return to rugby from the Turbos bench tomorrow night against Otago.

Elsewhere in the squad Tukiterangi Raimona returns to the staring line up alongside Travis Taylor at Hooker and Canadian prop Jake Ilnicki on the other side of the front row. Jackson Hemopo and Tom Parsons will continue their combination in the engine room with a familiar loose trio of Antonio Kiri Kiri, Callum Gibbins and Heiden Bedwell-Curtis completing the pack.

In the backline Kayne Hammington comes back into the squad with Otere Black starting at first five and Aaron Cruden the more then capable back up on the bench. Hamish Northcott and Jason Emery will combine again in the midfield as they hope to replicate their outstanding display against Wellington. Nathan Tudreu starts on the leftwing whilst the coaching staff have opted to place Ngani Laumape on the right wing with Ambrose Curtis at the back.

The reserves are made up of a more then capable bench with Super Rugby Props Chris Eves and Michael Alaalatoa ready and waiting. Hunter Prescott remains the reserve hooker with valentino covering the locks. Kane Thompson is bracketed by Liam Hallam-Eames with the veteran lock's injury form the Wellington match still giving him grief. Harrison Brewer will wear the number 20 jersery with Jamie Booth covering halfback. Aaron Cruden and Curtis Reid round out the playing 23
