The Turbos suffered the loss of their playmaker Aaron Cruden in 2010 who was selected into the All Blacks for the first time. After a difficult start to the season with injuries in key areas 

The Turbos took their first victory of the year when they beat Wellington at home. It was the first time in a long time that the Green and White had toppled the Capital onward from this the Turbos managed to put another two wins on the board to only just finish ahead of Otago on the ladder.
