    Chris Eves came to the Turbos from Wellington for the 2013 season and had an immediate impact owning a starting position from the very first game of the season.

    Deceptively agile and very quick for his position Chris' outstanding debut season did not go under the radar and he was quickly capped by the Maori All Blacks and the Hurricanes for 2014.

    Valentino Mapapalangi

    Valentino Mapapalangi arrived at the Manwatu Turbos in 2015 from Waikato. The big lock wasn't snapped up by Waikato for the Mitre 10 Cup, so the Turbos will be the ones to benefit from his hard-hitting tackles and barnstroming runs.

    Having played for the Chiefs development side in 2015, Valentino is a promising young player who could take some big strides his debut provincial season.

    Callum Gibbins

    A standout open side flanker who consistently leaves everything on the field for the Green and White often finding himself with the highest tackle count in the competition.

    Considered one of the fittest flankers in the country, he won the Hurricanes' gruelling surf to peak race two years in a row breaking the franchise record both times. Callum achieved his first full Super Rugby contract in 2015 with the Hurricanes, playing in 12 games.

    Harrison Brewer

    Originally from Ireland Harrison Brewer was a member of the Leinster Academy. Following Two season representing Ireland at the U20 World Championships Harrison made the move to the Manawatu.

    Used to playing in the backs Brewer opted for a switch into the loose forward upon arriving in New Zealand playing most of his Club Rugby for Te Kawau at Flanker.

    Jamie Booth

    Jamie Booth made his debut for the Turbos in 2014, and was rewarded for a stellar ITM Cup season with a spot in the Hurricanes Wider-Training squad in 2014. He was then called into the Blues, but did not see any game time with the Super Rugby franchise. Jamie Booth finally made his Super Rugby Debut for the Highlanders in 2016.
     
    He is an explosive halfback and a former Palmerston North Boys High School 1st XV player. Jamie has represented Manawatu at Sevens and through age grade teams.

    Toby Morland

    A former Super Rugby Player and some what of a rugby journeyman Toby Morland is a veteran of the game. Since settling in the Manawatu Toby has played his Club Rugby with Te Kawau. After injuries saw the skilled halfback called into the Turbos squad Morland  has wasted know time in applying his experience and cool head to put out some impressive performances in the Green and White.

    The young Otere Black came storming out of High School rugby with Tu Toa in 2013 to claim the Senior 1 highest point scorer for College Old Boys with a staggering 223 points from just 16 games. A composed and intelligent player, Otere won a Super Rugby contract with the Hurricanes in 2015, making four appearances during the season.

    Sam Malcolm

    Sam Malcolm joined the Manawatu Turbos at just 19 years old in 2015. Sam isn't the biggest first five going around, but the former Wanganu High School prodigy is one of the best tacklers in the business and has a calm head on his shoulders.

    His kicking is also outstanding, as he can guide his team around the park superbly and nail even the most difficult penalties and conversions.

    Nehe Milner-Skudder is one of the Turbos most rounded backs with a complete set of skills to utilise. An elusive runner of the ball Nehe has a innate ability to glide through the smallest gaps causing havoc for opposition defences.
     
    Nehe's scintilatting form in the 2014 ITM Cup didn't go un-noticed, and the Hurricanes signed him for Super Rugby in 2015. Such was his dominance at that level, he was selected for the All Blacks and is set to make his debut during the Bledisloe Cup encounter with Australia in Sydney.

    Aaron Cruden

    Aaron Cruden had his breakout season in 2011 when he helped guide the Turbos to the ITM Cup Championship Final. Cruden gave a master class showing of his talents in 2011 as part of the Turbos 54-20 demolition of Waikato.

    With such a stand out season he was quickly drafted into the All Blacks and has become a major part of their dominance in recent years.

    Aaron Smith debuted for the Turbos in 2008 and his partnership with Aaron Cruden saw the Turbos turn many deficits around when they were played off the bench together.

    With what is considered the swiftest pass in the country it wasn't long until Smith was pulled into the All Blacks making his debut in 2012 and quickly locking down the starting No. 9 jersey.
